What is The Graine Ledger?

The primary objective of The Graine Ledger project is to deliver an unprecedented degree of control to whiskey connoisseurs. By being able to control every small detail of your whiskey as it makes its journey through a world-class distillery, connoisseurs can now capture those notes that they cherish most or create an experimental batch unlike anything anyone has tasted before.

If you just love whiskey, this is definitely the project for you. The American Genesis Collection NFT will take you on a journey with your whiskey, showing you every step in its lifecycle, and finally delivering to you a fine spirit that can consolidate the entire experience.

The Distillery

Our first objective is the design, construction, and inauguration of The Graine Ledger Distillery. The American Genesis Collection will require a facility that can output 556,500 gallons over the course of two years. We are working with consulting partners to ensure that our distillery floor and process meet the highest standards using the latest in distilling technology.

From the very beginning, we will be looking to acquire a large parcel of land or a parcel that has adjacent parcels that may remain available to us in the future. Once the distillery is commercially operational, we will begin developing the remaining land for cultivation of our own grain and eventually vegetables, fruits, and herbs of all varieties. The farm will not be tuned for yield but for quality, using eco-friendly processes. The yield from this farm will be used to develop our top-shelf whiskey collections.

I am a writer, entrepreneur, filmmaker, and researcher. I decided to gain knowledge through experience and that led me on a journey to discover the tranquility and power of media and culture at the global scale. Just 4 months out of film school, I took on a feature film, which gave me my first feature film director credit at the age of 19. My LA-Based company, 2Change Films produced over 150 music videos and 60 commercials plus many other types of content such as webseries, documentaries, as well as the Annual Vijay Amritraj Foundation Gala which was broadcasted to over 100 million viewers worldwide.

My analytical approach to the global media trade brought to light a segment of the industry that was untapped. Seems like time flies because I have now been active in the IT industry for more than 20 years. I'm a Founder and CEO of Adaptable Services, a software solutions company which I founded back in 2017. My journey started back in 1998 as a hardware and network engineer. I worked in that industry for almost 2 years. But my interest in software development pulled me towards the software industry. I started from the ground up in 2000, working as a junior software developer in a company for nearly a year and a half, but then I never look back. In 2005, I'd started my own company Pro Designz (Programming and Designing). I enjoy learning and love to experiment with new technologies.

We are 100% real. There is no real fun to be had from virtual whiskey. Our barrels are real 53-gallon American White Oak barrels. Our bourbon will be distilled in our very own, very real stills. Our owner’s lounge will also be a real sight to behold.

Yes! We are rewarding whitelist positions to active members in our discord and on our social media, through games and giveaways in our discord, and through collaborations with other NFT projects. In our discord, you will gain XP as you interact with fellow community members. Once you reach a certain level in the discord, you will become eligible for certain whitelist tiers. Each whitelist tier will allow for more mints per wallet.

We will have a prolonged pre-sale for whitelist holders, however, after a certain date, your whitelist position will expire. The NFTs reserved for whitelist positions during the pre-sale will be made available to the public. If you are a whitelist position holder and would like to extend your presale time for a specific duration, we will be more than happy to accommodate you. Just be sure to reach out to our team before the pre-sale ends.

Barrels for The American Genesis Collection will mint at 1 ETH. This is comparable to market prices for mid-tier barrels of whiskey. Our product will be of substantially higher quality than what may be expected of our price category.

The American Genesis collection will be 4,000 barrels in total, therefore, 4000 NFTs in total. Learn more in our whitepaper.

We will have a standard series of animations that will represent the entire whiskey making process. Once your barrel reaches a certain point in the process, your NFT artwork will change to represent that process. Once aging begins, your artwork will change on a regular basis according to themes and aesthetics chosen by our artist and art coordinator, Manoj, as well as collaborations done with other major artists.

The American Genesis Collection will give ongoing benefits to its owners. Not only will you get to customize your own American Bourbon, but you will also eventually receive at least 3 more barrels. Once all your barrels are emptied, and all your bottles sold or consumed, your NFT will convert to a membership pass which will give your unparalleled access to our operations, discounts on our products, DAO-coordinated events and investments, and free shipments of our latest and pre-release products in perpetuity.

We anticipate having our distillery up and running in 12 months at the earliest. Once we turn on the lights, we will immediately begin filling barrels and you will be notified through your NFT of the exact date when your barrel will be filled. Of course, an animation will accompany the filling in real-time.

We will have an owner-accessible dapp where you will be able to rewatch the animations for events that your barrel has gone through. Additional options will also be available such as the ability to choose the animation displayed for a set period of time. Once your barrels journey is complete, the complete video will be available for streaming or download along with a precise timeline and more information related to the processes it underwent.

Absolutely, as an Ethereum NFT, it will provide access to many marketplaces where you may list your NFT for sale. Potential buyers on secondary markets would be able to see what barrels or benefits remain to be redeemed. Once sold, all remaining unredeemed barrels, bottles, and benefits will be passed on to the buyer.

We will continue to provide barrels from operations we open in new whiskey or spirit producing regions. We have plans for Ireland and Japan in the short term, however, in the long term we hope to explore regions as diverse as The Caribbean for Barrel-Aged Rum, India for Barrel-Aged Gin, and many more.

Each barrel from each new project will roughly be valued at 1 ETH as well.

We suggest conservatively pricing your NFT at around 3 ETH considering the barrels that will be most immediately available, however, it would not be unusual for you to price it according to the potential price of the bottles you will sell or even the future benefits you will receive.

The mashbill will be voted on by the community of owners soon after mint. We will provide a selection of mashbills that are optimum for a wide range in aging duration and finishes. NFT owners will also be able to choose the char level, the aging duration, and the finish of their whiskey individually through the owner app.

We will retain an insurance barrel for each barrel minted. This insurance barrel will go through the same exact processes that your primary barrel did so in case your primary barrel is damaged, it can be easily replaced by the insurance barrel. The insurance barrel will be delayed by 6-12 months so you would lose some time but definitely not a drop of your select bourbon.
